Kafka One

We tend to GEEK out about our projects. One of our clients is releasing a new edition of "The Metamorphosis". This is our Jackson theme below. We love the stylized running headers and the font is perfect for darker works. And because sometimes even great works of literature can be dressed up with the right image, we hunted down this beautiful wood cut from a public domain work published in 1873. Images in print books are tricky matters as they tend to be compressed through the publishing process even when they are +300 dpi.  However, because the areas where the artist cuts away "carry" no ink in woodcuts, the white spaces in the insect will look intentional even if the image is slightly degraded through the conversion process (via Amazon, Apple etc.).
